During the classes, students will learn and understand the basic issues of language culture. They will learn the terms: language norm, language innovation, criteria for assessing language innovations, errors and their types, language awareness and attitudes towards language. During the classes, issues related to language politeness, communication ethics, as well as vulgarization and brutalization of the language of public debate will be considered. The classes are to sensitize students to the issues of correctness and influence their perception of language as not only a utilitarian value (use in specific communication situations), but also an immanent one, as a component and carrier of culture, requiring special protection.
