Learning outcomes
Defines and describes the main directions and positions in contemporary philosophy (F1aK_W06 / P6S_WG).
Identifies philosophical problems in the area of individual, social and religious life, formulates their own position on them and is able to justify them (F1aK_U14 / P6S_UW, P6S_UK).
Is aware of the importance of European philosophical heritage for understanding social and cultural events (F1aK_K06 / P6S_KR)
Assessment criteria
Oral exam at the end of each semester.
The student, on a satisfactory grade, knows the basic facts of the history of philosophy, is able to give the names of the main philosophers of particular currents, with difficulty and without providing details is able to discuss the basic philosophical theses of a given era.
The student for good grade mentions the basic facts of the history of philosophy with a fair fluency, without major difficulties is able to discuss the main philosophical theses shaping a given era.
The student for a very good grade, fluently exchanges important facts from the history of philosophy, fluently gives philosophical theses shaping a given era, easily combines facts with each other and draws logical conclusions. He knows the names of philosophers and can accurately place them in the history of philosophy and in universal history.
