Thomism. The Essentials of the Philosophy of St. Thomas Aquinas FIL-SM-ENG>lect01
The lecture is based on the famous 24 Thomistic theses published by a group of Thomists in 1916. After distinguishing between Thomism and the philosophy of St. Thomas Aquinas, the following lectures discuss the individual theses, starting with the ontological theses. Each thesis is formulated using basic Thomistic concepts, the terms, varieties and application of which in the system of St. Thomas' philosophy are tried to explain. This proceeding is carried out slowly with great emphasis on the student's understanding of the problem. In the background of the lecture there is also a discussion of the possible application of Thomistic philosophy to contemporary philosophical problems.
