The lecture will cover the following topics:
1. Thanatopsychology as a subdiscipline of psychology and a discipline on the border of other areas of knowledge.
2. Dimensions of research in the field of thanatology
3. Death in the cultures of the world.
4. Death in philosophical reflection and social reception.
5. The issue of suicide.
6. Technological death.
7. The psychological context of the death of an unborn child.
8. Psychological factors unifying society as a result of the death of an authority figure.
9. Terminal illness - phases, communication, companionship,
10. Fascination with death in contemporary culture.
11. The issue of mourning - experiencing, pathologizing the mourning process.
12. attitudes towards death.

3. The student knows the phases of terminal illness and the basic principles of communication with the sick person and their loved ones.
