Developmental psychology in life course: adulthood PSY-SJ>PsyrozDorW
The aim of this course is to review concepts describing development over the course of a person's life (life-span psychology). To indicate to students the similarities and differences in the course of human development in childhood and adulthood. Students will learn about the regularities of adult human development. Human developmental characteristics in early, middle and late adulthood will be discussed with an indication of the developmental tasks typical of these periods.
Educational content:
1. the nature of development in childhood and adulthood
2. the characteristics of the physical capacities of man at different stages of development
3. challenges of adulthood (developmental tasks in different periods of adult development
4. cognitive competence of the adult (development of post-formal thinking, development of wisdom)
5. emotions in adult life
6. adult personality continuity of traits or mid-life transformations
7. social experience and moral development of the adult
8. religiosity and spirituality as resources to support the adult in difficult situations....
9. self-creation the realisation of the adult's capacity to direct his/her own development.
