Preaching as an essential task of the Church SzD-DNT>GłsłBo
The lecture gives listeners the opportunity to understand the preaching of the Word of God as an important function of the Church, without which it could not exist. It also allows us to distinguish similarities and differences between important types of preaching: kerygma, homily and catechesis. The aim of the classes is to understand the role of preaching in the mission of Jesus and His Church, as well as various models of evangelization.

K_W01 Knows and understands the global scientific and creative achievements related to theological sciences and the essential function of the Church, which is the proclamation of the Word of God. P8U_WG P8S_WK
K_W05 Knows and understands the fundamental social and economic dilemmas of contemporary civilization and considers them in scientific research on the proclamation of the Word of God. P8S_WK
K_W06 Knows and understands the principles of disseminating the results of scientific activity in publications, via modern media, and in various environments. P8S_WK P8S_WG
K_U04 Is able to use knowledge from various fields of science or art to creatively identify problems related to the proclamation of the Word of God and undertake research work. P8S_UW
K_U05 Is able to transfer the results of research in the discipline of "theological sciences" to the social sphere, including the principles of teaching. P8S_UW
K_U06 Is able to disseminate research findings on the essence of preaching the Word of God, initiate debate on the Church's ministry of the Word, and participate in scholarly discourse on preaching, including in ecumenical and international settings. P8S_UK

Assessment criteria
A systematic lecture on the history and theology of preaching will also be used.
The PBL method will also be used: Problem-Based Learning, a student-centered educational method in which students engage with real-world problems to gain knowledge. Students identify problems, receive a scenario, and use it as inspiration for research, collaboration, and the discovery of solutions.
Sources and literature on the preaching of God's Word will be examined.
Assessment is achieved through active participation in the classroom and problem-solving (Problem-Based Learning). Finally, the doctoral student's knowledge will be assessed through an oral and graded examination.
