The lecture includes several essential parts: the question of the Church; its origin and mission in the light of Revelation (the so-called Old Testament ecclesiogenesis and New Testament ecclesiogenesis); the development of Catholic ecclesiology over the twenty-one centuries of Christianity; the signs of the Church's truthfulness (one, holy, catholic, apostolic and Marian). The purpose of the lecture is to acquaint the student with an integral vision of the Church, which includes not only the Church seen from the inside in the light of faith (dogmatic theology), but also from the outside in the light of reason (fundamental theology). Such an integral view of the Church becomes a guarantee of grasping its mystery and not falling into any form of ecclesiological reductionism.
