An introduction to catechetics, this course will discuss fundamental issues of catechetics as a scientific discipline, as well as present the outline of history of catechesis and catechisms. This course will also survey contemporary catechetical resources and modern catechetical methodologies (the structure of post-council catechesis), while emphasizing the primary and essential object of catechesis - to put people in communion, in intimacy, with Jesus Christ.
