Old Testament VI - Twelve Prophets T-SY>states-7
Terminology of a „prophet” notion and specification of the Israeli prophetism against the background of the cultures of the Near East (Mesopotamia, Canaan and Egypt). Introducing the students into a historical context and biography of the particular scripture writing prophets of the Old Testament. Analysis of the key texts of the given books and presentation of their theological subject-matter. The workshops for analysis of the indicated writings of the prophets basing on the Hebrew original book as contained in Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia.

Learning outcomes
Knowledge of the 12 "less" prophets of the Old Testament.
The ability to explain their theology and the relationship with other biblical texts. Basic biblical competences in the field of these texts.
Assessment criteria
A written work from a "minor" prophet chosen by the Student.
Oral exam on the knowledge of the 12 prophets.
