Homiletic theology as a science has its basic source in Revelation. It also draws heavily from the Magisterium of the Church. However, it also uses other sciences, e.g. in communication sciences. The content of teaching is the process of interpersonal communication and the formal aspects of communicating of the word of God; creating a homiletic message unit and the ability to critically analyze homilies and sermons.

E_1. He knows the basic information about the language, the terminology used in Homiletics
E_2. He knows the theological status of homiletics, the constitutive elements of preaching and the outline of the history of preaching,
E_3. He can independently prepare and perform a public speech
E_4. He can use the knowledge of the process of interpersonal communication in social relations and public speeches
Assessment criteria
W_1. Continuous assessment of preparation for classes and active participation in discussions.
W_2. Semester work on the topic agreed with each student
W_3. Oral exam at the end of classes in each semester.
Practical placement
Carried out during other classes with a different lecturer.
