During the lecture, students will learn about basic issues in the field of ethics, basic concepts and ethical ideas.
1. Metaethics (definition of ethics, justification of ethics, main types of ethical reflection, ethics and morality, ethics and other disciplines, basic concepts in ethics, sources of ethics, classification of positions in ethics, argumentation in ethics, method of ethics)
2. Anthropological assumptions of ethics (role of anthropological assumptions in ethics, assigning moral status
3. Science of human acts (main structures of human action, agency and omission, factors limiting the voluntariness of human acts)
4. Eudaimonology
5. Axiology (criteria of moral valuation, good and values)
6. Deontology (natural law, moral norms, duty, deontic categories)
7. Synidesiology (classical concept of conscience, formation of conscience)
8. Aretheology (science of virtues, aretic categories, selected virtues, moral development of man and various attitudes: conformism, altruism, egoism. Autonomous and non-autonomous attitudes)

Assessment criteria
Exam in the form of a test during the exam session. The exact date is set no later than two weeks before the start of the exam session. The student's knowledge in the required scope is assessed. The purpose of the questions is to check the extent to which the student has achieved the expected learning outcomes. The exam result will determine the final grade.
