Learning outcomes
The student is familiar with the characteristics of important philosophical trends and the basic issues that they involve. During the classes, the issues of particular problems related to selected philosophical currents are discussed based on source texts.
F2aK_W01 - Has a detailed knowledge of the subject matter distinctiveness
and methodological characteristics of philosophy - based on selected examples from the history of philosophy. The student understands the influence of other sciences on philosophy. Can independently and creatively develop selected philosophical issues.
F2aK_W03 - The student is familiar with selected philosophical terminology in the areas of basic philosophical sub-disciplines and selected philosophical schools.
F2aK_W09 - The student understands the influence of selected philosophical currents on practical, historical and contemporary social and political solutions, as well as understands the influence of political and social conditions on selected philosophical currents.
F2aK_U05 - The student detects the relationship between selected philosophical currents and the culture of the period and the development of science in the period. He can indicate in detail the relationships between these elements.
F2aK_K02 - The student is ready for new ideas and understands the importance of arguments, through which he is ready to change or shape his opinion.
F2aK_K06 - Based on selected examples, the student is aware of the cultural heritage of Europe and how great an influence selected philosophical concepts have had on the formation of this heritage.

Evaluation criteria
Components of the final evaluation:
1) presence in the classes and demonstrate the knowledge of the text in discussion;
2. active participation in the discussions;
3. passing as an oral answer.
Each of the three components constitutes 1/3 of the final grade.
