Business ethics and CSR FIL-EST-SM>Etybiz-w
During the classes, broad topics typical of business ethics are discussed, with particular attention paid to the issue of corporate social responsibility. Typical issues in business ethics are presented against the broad background of business concepts from the classics of the history of philosophy. The relationship between society and entrepreneurial activity is shown, ethical criteria used in business, as well as the main reason for starting a business, i.e. the desire to make money, will be presented in detail. When does profitable gain meet ethical criteria? How to reconcile business profitability with ethical requirements? Is there any contradiction or discrepancy between the goal of business, which is profit, and ethics, which asks about a good life? Work ethics is also discussed, with particular attention to contemporary problems encountered in the labor market, such as unemployment or excess work. Issues specific to the 21st century and rapid technological development are also discussed.
