Interdisciplinary Research in the Cultural Heritage Protection ODK-SM>badinter1(01)
The aim of the class is to familiarize students with the benefits of multifaceted analysis of scientific sources, using the example of widely archaeological research in its broadest sense. Archaeology, which aims to reconstruct the socio-cultural past of man, on the one hand focuses, on the one hand, on the search for and acquisition of archaeological sources, and, on the other hand, concentrates on analyzing the sources acquired sources and extracting information from them. This creates the possibility of finding areas of research common to various - sometimes seemingly distant - scientific disciplines. With the development of research, this determines the emergence of new scientific specialties, such as archaeozoology, ethnoarchaeology, archaeometry, paleobotany, etc. The cooperation of scientists from many fields sometimes brings surprising results. During the course of the course, the participants will get acquainted with a different view of archaeological sources, presented by representatives of technical sciences, biological sciences, etc. Through visits to selected scientific laboratories, they will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the specifics of the work of scientists of other disciplines, their role in modern archaeology, get to know a different perspective on the many - seemingly obvious - issues. The role of interdisciplinary research in the context of the complex process of protecting cultural heritage. The classes will familiarize students with the problem of cooperation of scientists representing various scientific disciplines, by acquiring knowledge of the needs and possibilities of interdisciplinary research.

The student acquires workshop skills to combine and organize the work of interdisciplinary teams for the protection of

Assessment criteria
Credit without a grade. A prerequisite for credit is attendance at classes, preparation and delivery of a presentation on a selected topic from the of interdisciplinary cooperation in the protection of cultural heritage.
