PsMpK_W01 Has an extended knowledge of developmental psychology. Knows the theories and models describing and explaining the course of human development throughout the life course.
PsMpK_W08 Knows the course and understands the specificity of developmental changes in successive periods of life. Has knowledge about conditions favourable and hindering the course of development
SKILLS
PsMpK_U02 Reads scientific literature in the field of developmental psychology with understanding. Can fluently use terminology in this field. Can relate his/her knowledge of human development to the results of research in other fields of psychology, as well as to the explanation of human behaviour in everyday life.
PsMpK_U01 Be able to identify the main developmental achievements at different periods of life. Can carry out a diagnosis of development and indicate directions of possible interventions to improve development
SOCIAL COMPETENCES:
PsMpK_K05 Is able to communicate effectively with people in different developmental periods (children, elderly), trying to be free from stereotypes and prejudices
PsMpK_K02 Is ready to use his/her knowledge and skills to identify risks to development and to support it
Assessment criteria
Lecture attendance is required.
Written examination: issues discussed during the lectures. A prerequisite to pass the test is a minimum of 60% correct answers
