(in Polish) Academic writing SzD-DF>(2)Acawri
Academic writing classes serve to prepare PhD students for their own scientific work and publish the results obtained. Doctoral students will learn about the current requirements for scientific publications. The emphasis will be put on preparing publications intended for prestigious journals or publishing houses. Participants will therefore become familiar with the principles and practice of international publishing.
Much attention will be paid to the appropriate substantive and editorial preparation of the publication.
The classes take the form of workshops during which a project (article, chapter, etc.) is prepared. This paper can then be submitted for publication.

Grading
5.0
Mastery of course content at the highest level of attainment that can reasonably be
expected of students at a given stage of development. This grade states clearly that
the student has shown such outstanding promise in the aspect of the discipline under
study that he/she may be strongly encouraged to continue. [more than 90%]
4.5
Strong performance demonstrating a high level of attainment for a student at a given stage of development. The 4.5 grade states that the student has shown solid promise in the aspect of the discipline under study.
[more or equal to 80% and less than 90%]
4.0
A totally acceptable performance demonstrating an adequate level of attainment
for a student at a given stage of development. The 4.0 grade states that while not yet showing any unusual promise, the student may continue to study in the discipline with reasonable hope of intellectual development.
[more or equal to 70% and less than 80%]
3.5
Performance higer than marginal, however not totally acceptable for an adequate level of attainment for a student at a given stage of development. The 3.5 grade states that the student may give some prospective groth in the discipline but he/she need change learning methods or/and increasing learning efforts.
[more or equal to 60% and less than 70%]
3.0
A marginal performance in the required exercises demonstrating a minimal passing level of attainment for a student at a given stage of development. The 3.0 grade states that the student has given no evidence of prospective growth in the discipline; an accumulation of 3.0 grades should be taken to mean that the student
would be well advised not to continue in the academic field.
[more than 50% and less than 60%]
2.0
For whatever reasons, an unacceptable performance. This grade indicates that
the student’s performance in the required exercises has revealed almost no
understanding of the course content. A grade of 2.0 should warrant questioning
whether the student may suitably register for further study in the discipline before
remedial work is undertaken.
[less than or equal to 50%]
