Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student:
Knows and understands the basic concepts and principles of interpretation of secular and canon law
Is able to identify similarities and differences in methods of interpreting the law in both systems
Is able to apply appropriate methods of interpretation to specific legal provisions
Is aware of the complexity of the process of interpreting the law and the need to take into account various factors
Assessment criteria
Written exam
Group project - analysis of a selected ruling in terms of the methods of interpretation used
Participation in the scientific symposium organized by WPK is mandatory as part of the teaching course.
